Here it starts

Almost everything is done and last preparation is almost ready. First, shortly for you who hasn't been walking with us this Spring. End of the last year God spoke to us to go to California and spend this summer, two months, there. He said to go to be a part of Rivers of Eden even there was nothing going on at that time. Debra and Marvin had just moved back to California. I am a part of Rivers of Eden ministry. God has called me into this ministry and ordained me to walk alongside with Debra and Marvin. Now He said He is sending me to California. And we said "yes" though we didn't see how it would come through. We couldn't see how it would be possible? How Reijo could spend there whole summer, two months, and still keep his job? How could we afford it? And so many other question marks.

But His ways are above our ways and His thoughts are so much higher than our thoughts. We said "yes" in obedience and in faith. By trusting that because He said it, He will bring it forth. He, God Almighty, will open the door for us to go and will arrange everything so, that it will be possible.

This Spring has been time of testing our faith and even all pieces have been falling into places little by little, there has still been times when uncertainty has hit our minds and enemy has tried his best to discourage and bring unbelief. We started by faith and we decided to keep walking by faith. Trusting, that God is above all and He has prepared the way for us to go. That is His promise and we stand upon it.

So now schools are ending and summer is finally here. The journey is ready to begin and excitement is here. This trip is not a vacation where we just spend two weeks as tourists. Now we are going to live on our own among a different nation and culture and language in the same time being very thankful for having friends around us. We leave being curious to look for and pursue what God has planned for us. We seek that so He could change us, open our minds and eyes to see and release us from bondage of our own culture to live in the freedom of His Kingdom.

The idea of this blog is that you could follow us in this journey. Through this blog we will share our thoughts, experiences, our lives and what God is doing in our lives as often as we can. We as a family will write this, all together, so name under the text will show you the writer. Some of these will be in English, some in Finnish.

We also want to encourage you to step out and walk as God has called you to walk and live. Don't limit God, for everything is possible for Him. And so it's possible for us when we walk with Him, we put our trust and faith on Him and love Him.
